Grimaldi, a car transportation company, has warned that roads leading to the ports of Zeebruge and Antwerp may be blocked throughout the day, which could prevent trucks and workers from entering the ports.

This obstacle may lead to a shortage of various business personnel, including those in and out truck services, terminal business and ship business.

The Belgian Evening News further reported that due to a one-day nationwide strike, all flights departing from Brussels Airport and Charleroy Airport on March 31 have been cancelled.

According to local media reports, Belgian maritime workers, including crew members and pilots, went on strike due to pension cuts. The Port of Antwerp and others were affected, with 15 ships trapped. A national strike, including on railways, is scheduled to take place on March 31, 2025.
